Brett graduated from the University of Canterbury in 1988 and has been with BSK since October 1999. Brett has worked throughout New Zealand and has also worked in Brisbane, Sydney and Newcastle. The latter position was as a consequence of the 1989 Newcastle Earthquake.
He was involved with the inspection of timber structures and suspension bridge testing for the Whanganui Conservancy in the aftermath of Cave Creek and served voluntarily in Christchurch for a week immediately following the February 2011 earthquake. He continues to provide structural design services including seismic assessments, construction monitoring & occasional geotechnical testing.
