Kris grew up in Rotorua before attending Victoria University of Wellington in Wellington, where he completed his studies in geology, geography and environmental studies. To further his expertise, he later completed postgraduate studies in Civil Engineering at the University of New South Wales.

He is an Engineering Geologist with over 13 years of experience, including extensive involvement in large-scale mining projects across Australia. Now based in the Bay of Plenty, Kris focuses on delivering practical and risk-informed geotechnical solutions for infrastructure projects. At BSK, he brings strong field expertise, experience in complex ground conditions, and a commitment to supporting safe and sustainable project outcomes.

Outside of work, Kris enjoys spending time with his wife and young son, going fishing, and running along the beach.
