Originally from Kathmandu, Nepal, Subhechha graduated with a bachelor’s in civil engineering from Tribhuwan University, Kathmandu in 2014.
After graduating Subhechha gained valuable experience in the design and analysis of reinforced concrete structures, carrying out risk and hazard assessments, as well as disaster management planning in earthquake and flood prone areas (Nepal).
While living in Nepal Subhechha experienced large earthquakes first hand (Gorkha Earthquake 2015). This experience influenced her decision to come to New Zealand and further her structural engineering studies. Subhechha graduated from the University of Auckland in 2021 with a master’s degree in civil engineering.
Soon after gaining her masters, Subhechha joined the BSK team and is now enjoying the variety of structural projects offered, with her focus turning to the analysis and design of timber, steel, and concrete structural elements in accordance with New Zealand standards.
Subhechha enjoys tramping with friends, exploring walks around Tauranga, and training to become the next Serena Williams.
